Free chord and fretboard diagram builder
I needed some neat guitar chord diagrams and was way too lazy to use pixel or vector based apps like stuff from Adobe (for which I do not have a subscription) or search for other free software and invest the time to get the diagrams neatly done. I remember old diagrams I once made and they were simply not beautiful.
AI DISCLAIMER Therefore I created a tool using the AI Claude and decided to put it out for everybody who happens to stumble upon my small website. It would have taken days for me and my poor coding skills to do it without vibe coding. This might be the price for it. I do not feel any pride or better creating the tool. It feels like taking credit for someone else's achievements, even though the core ideas are mine. Therefore it is free of charge with an export function for .svg, .png or .jpg files.
You can find the builder under MENU oder by clicking here: Diagram builder
I love handwritten diagrams. They look like this.
You can add the number for each finger with clicking first on the needed number under "Label" on the right side (or add any number, text inside the textbox next to "Label") and draw the dot on the diagram.
I totally dig that the grid is not rigid but changes with every dot you put on it.
For Barre chords you simply put a dot down and then drag the dot across the fret.
Clicking on Fretboard on the left side enables the grid for fretboards.
If you like the diagram, simply click on the needed button labeled SVG, PNG, JPG and it will be downloaded. Please note, on Apple mobile devices the export button will open Share menu, where you can select "Save Image" (saves to Photos) or "Save to Files."
Have fun. If you wish some changes - please let me know.
